One of the most popular and notorious Playboy Playmates of all time, Anna Nicole Smith has certainly made the most of what she's got. Anna is a buxom, blowsy blonde bombshell whose luscious natural assets have won her worldwide fame and fortune. And do we mean fortune!
Anna Nicole was born Anna Nicole Smith in the small town of Mexia, Texas on November 28, 1967. She began modeling at the age of twenty, and eventually moved into topless dancing. Her awesome bra busters always made her uniquely suited for such a job, and Anna Nicole made an instant impression on everyone who caught her act.
One such person was elderly Texas billionaire J. Howard Marshall, who spotted her on a Houston strip club stage in 1991. He approached Anna Nicole, and soon the two were an item. Of course, the fact that she was in her twenties and he was almost 90 didn't go unnoticed, and cries of 'gold digger' have followed Anna Nicole ever since.
Marshall saw a diamond in the rough in Anna Nicole, and helped guide her into a modeling career. She became Playboy's Playmate of the Month in May 1992, and followed that up by becoming the 1993 Playmate of the Year. Anna Nicole's buxom beauty was undeniable, and she parlayed her centerfold success into a stint as the spokesmodel for Guess! jeans. She also started an acting career, which eventually led to roles in such masterpieces as 'To The Limit' and 'Skyscraper.'
Anna Nicole and Marshall were married on June 27, 1994. Their union lasted just over a year, until his death in August of 1995. Upon Marshall's demise, Anna Nicole found herself in line to inherit much of her late husband's $1.6 billion estate. Of course, Marshall's children weren't all that crazy about giving up their family's wealth to a busty former stripper, so they took her to court.
Leading the charge was Marshall's son, E. Pierce Marshall, who insisted that Anna Nicole did not deserve the money. The case wended its way through the Texas legal system, and in September 2000, Anna Nicole was awarded $449 million. This decision was in turn nullified by a Houston judge in July 2001. The final verdict came in March 2002, when Anna Nicole was finally declared to be owed $88 million from the estate. It's not $1.6 billion, but it's not bad.
Anna Nicole was out of the public eye for much of the time that the trial was taking place, but upon its completion she stepped into a whole new realm. Anna Nicole became the star of her own reality TV show, the E! Channel's 'Anna Nicole Show,' which debuted in August of 2002. The show was an instant sensation, and Anna Nicole once again became fodder for tabloids from coast to coast. Questions about her burgeoning weight and possible drug use started to swirl, and the show quickly became one of the most popular in the network's history.
Millions of dollars and worldwide fame would be enough to make most people forget their problems, but Anna Nicole is still something of the insecure, shy girl who first emerged from small-town Texas in the early 90s. She responded to the whispers about her weight by shedding 30 pounds and appearing in an ad for a weight-loss center, and it must be said that she looks as voluptuously enticing as ever. What the future holds for this busty, bodacious beauty remains unclear, but you can bet that it'll make the papers!
On February 8, 2007, Smith was found unresponsive in a room of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. She was rushed to a hospital. A witness told local media that paramedics were performing CPR when they took her out of the hotel. She was later pronounced dead by doctors. Her passing was a little less than 5 months after her son, She was 39.
