Pierre Woodman (born 1963 in Auvergne, France) is a French porn director. He started as a photographer in 1986. From 1992 to 2000, he worked for Private Media Group, for which he directed many high-budget movies. However, he earned his reputation with the Castings series, introducing a style of gonzo pornography, which caused criticism that he was giving up the dramatic fabric of European pornography. In these movies he also appeared as a porn actor. In 2000 he signed with Hustler and in 2005 he returned to Private.

In 2005, Pierre Woodman launched an affiliate program on the Internet in order to distribute his content on demand. The program is called spider-cash. In 2006, Private released the first film of the trilogy Sex City by Woodman. The other two of the trilogy is due to release in Summer 2006. Sex City is an adaptation of Sin City that attempts to reverse the gonzo reputation of Woodman. The films feature a new generation of Czech, Hungarian, and Russian porn stars along with experienced actors of the porn scene like Alain Deloin and Philippe Soine.
