| Introducing Blue Angel
In a joint statement issued today, John Chambliss (Simon Wolf Productions) and Bob Friedland (Jill Kelly Productions) announced a new co-production and
distribution agreement between Simon Wolf Productions and Jill Kelly
Productions, in which Simon Wolf will create a new series of high-budget features entitled Simon Wolf's BLUE ANGEL that will be distributed exclusively worldwide by JKP.
The new series will feature Asia Carrera, Steven St. Croix, Hershel Savage
and Evan Stone in re-occurring roles created by Simon Wolf that evolve around
a recently departed gangster who is desperately trying to reach Heaven (St.
Croix), and the troubles he encounters from a partner he earlier "wrapped in cement" (Savage), a gorgeous computer geek (Carrera) and an unscrupulous gang
boss (Stone) . Production has just wrapped on Episode #1.
Commenting on the extraordinarily strong male leads surrounding super-star Asia Carrera, Chambliss reaffirmed his believe in the importance of introducing attractive men to an ever-expanding COUPLES market, while stressing the importance of delivering a world-renown star of Asia's caliber, and surrounding her with a wide selection of both established and new female talent. "We're presenting a very diversified mix of both male and female
performers in BLUE ANGEL; one designed to capture virtually every potential viewer out there."
On the distribution side, Friedland expressed strong confidence in the worldwide potential of the new series and JKP's capability to capture it. "Simon Wolf has demonstrated a remarkable ability to maximize penetration into virtually every marketplace, including television, VOD, Internet, DVD
and home video, and JKP is anxious to begin representing his newest work."
Friedland also commented upon the marketing strength delivered by the special DVD Twin Sets that will be developed by Simon Wolf's Interactive Division. "Their skills in developing top selling DVD's is extraordinary, and JKP will implement specialized promotional programs to capitalize on their unique
entertainment value."
Robert Herrera, production chief for Simon Wolf Productions, emphasized the importance of successfully translating Simon Wolf's "visions" of BLUE ANGEL onto the screen, a task that Herrera will depend heavily upon director Bud Lee to help him paint. The two have now worked together on such major Simon Wolf features as A WITCH'S TAIL, A WOLF'S TAIL, A DEVIL'S TAIL and BEAUTY AND THE BITCH.
Jill Kelly, reaffirmed Friedland's confidence in the delivery power of BLUE ANGEL, while focusing on the unique marketing skills her organization brings
to the table. "JKP will be supporting Simon's work with marketing strategies formally confined to the release of major mainstream studio films. Yes, we're about to introduce a new level of excellence into the adult arena."
Chambliss confirmed that the new series would feature the stylistic special effects that distinguish Simon Wolf's productions. "We've just made substantial investments in new systems that will allow us to go even further. And as always, these effects will be designed to reinforce and enhance the storylines - not dominate them."
