Starring: In this fairly hot follow-up to the steamy original, Annette Haven, in one of her last porn performances, is now running a whorehouse where she's become expert at side-stepping the law. That doesn't stop detectives, like Mike Horner, from investigating the mysterious death of her husband. Then pimp Jerry Butler arrive with his main whore Sharon Kane. Though there's time for sex, they clearly have other things on their minds.

Not up to the first film, but the sex is more raucous and less critical to the plot. There are ample subplots, with Charli St. Cyr wanting to marry patron Robert Bullock, and detective Mike Horner suddenly after Sharon Kane's goodies. I think you figure most of it out.

More hard-edged, even humorous, than erotic. But it tries. Annette and Sharon do share a passionate girl-girl scene.

The actors are all sports. It's fun to watch Horner pursue the resistent Kane, and St. Cyr gives Butler a thunderous workout.

But the mystery, which worked so well in the first film, is less effective here. I don't think much will surprise you.

A 7 for the spunky cast.
